Demolition Progress

Here are some photos of the caravan demolition progress.... which kind of started neatly with placing things in the wheelbarrow....but at the end everything got thrown outside and cleaned up after....
The window had been taken out for sizing up for new ones, the old ones weren't worth fixing....nor were they entirely leak proof....
The kids had a ball helping dad ripping stuff out the caravan, the boys learned how to use screwdrivers and plyers, and when that got boring, they used the old stuff to build cubby houses with in the driveway....
One thing which astonished us was that this caravan had carpet in it, which, considering the age of the caravan was pretty gross!!  It definately made us decide never to put carpet as flooring in a caravan!!

Painting Tins

Recently we had a wedding in the family.....  and we pulled the kids into doing their bit for the wedding....

I had been saving food tins for quite some weeks....and the day before the wedding, these blond little boys painted them...
outside of course to minimise the mess
shirtless....the save me on some extra washing....
Here they are....drying in the sunshine...
I do not have any photos of these tins behind the cars, nor of daddy attaching string to the tins (which he did on the morning of the wedding).

As you probably would have guessed, these tins went behind the wedding car in the evening and made quite a bit of racket :)  (as did the horn which dear hubby wired up to the brake...

and the boys.... well they had a ball spraying each other with the hose afterwards to get the paint of them...

Caravan Renovations

**apologies, I cannot get these photos turned right**

Dear hubby and I bought this old, old caravan....for a fraction of the price of a brand new one.... which are priced well over $30,000.00

We decided to redo the decor.....as it really wasn't in my tastes....
and of course, with three children, this double bed would not be large enough to hold us all....
although it probably could, but we all like to have a peaceful sleep whilst on holidays...

and this fridge, well lets just say, it would maybe fit food to feed us for a day or two... and the oven, well it definately wouldn't fit any of our casserole dishes.... and who would cook indoors when caravaning...

and so, we, or more or less dear hubby, ripped everything out.....
yes, I mean everything... except for the framework, and the outside cladding, and the ceiling....
Its what we have been busy with these past holidays, actually, dear hubby has.  My part was to keep the kids out of his hair, keep everyone watered and fed, and try not to get impatient....

I will be posting some more of our progress throughout the next few weeks, so stay tuned!!
