Suitcase Tags

One of my boy's teachers celebrated her birthday recently.   I found out she was going to be travelling to Europe sometime soon as part of her long service leave.  So I created some suitcase tags for her suitcases.
Again, a variety of suitcase tag tutorials are available on the big wide web, so this one is my version, using what I had learned from the technique of making the I Spy Bags.

a find in the front yard!

Now this was a find in our front yard.  A SNAKE!!!
At first we panicked and thought it was a Tiger Snake.    But after some thorough searching on google and enquiring with other locals, we found out that it is a banded sand desert snake.  They only grow this big (about 30cm) and its venom isn't as bad as the tiger snake.  Besides, if you saw how little it is, it definately would have trouble biting you in the ankle!!

I spy bags

This year it is my aim to make homemade gifts for people.
These I Spy Bags are for birthday parties for Thomas' friends this year.

I have since modified them a little and decided to add more toys inside them.  I also personalise them so the kids can actually find their own name in the I Spy Bags.     The first ones I filled with the filling stuff you use for dolls, but  I found it quite expensive.  So I resorted to buying those bean bag balls, which make the game a tad harder as the balls tend to stick to the plastic a little.
There are many versions of I spy bags tutorials available on the internet, and mine is a combination of a number of different methods, until  I found the perfect combination that worked for me.
Here are some of them, ready to be filled when a birthday invitation pops up!

Mini Cheesecakes

Now this post should get your tastebuds watering!!  Some lovelly cheesecakes!!
I created these by using a special muffin tin where the bottoms pop out, and it has straight sides.  I used a straight forward packet cheesecake mix, no bake!    Drizzled deliciously with melted caramel chocolate and then frozen for a party at a later date!
They are delicious, and the perfect bit size piece for an after dinner get together!
The tins, I got them online via Scoopon.com.

Welcome Back

hello all, welcome back!  Yes I have been back for some time already from a lovely holiday and I have decided its time to post again.   To start me off, here is a pic of us all relaxed at our recent holiday in our caravan!  I will continue to show the renovations of the caravan in posts following!  I have also been busy crafting, getting into that creative mode again, and I can't wait to share with you some of the great things I have been making!
