Gingerbread man

Bookweek is so much fun (and lots of work). I picked a book and decided on a gingerbread man. I did some googling, found some inspiration. And then I just winged it. I used well fitting pair of pants and shirt. Designed the body using that. Sewed up the legs and sides. Then fitted the sleeves and shoulders and a long zip at the back. The white lines btw are done before you sew it together. I did it with three strands of white wool twisted together with a white zigzag stitch over the top. The head is two 'circles'. The red mouth and eyes are felt. We cut out some firm foam (which btw isn't cheap to buy - crazy clarks was going to charge me over $50 for a little off cut - so we scavenged the verge collections for some foam furniture). I sewed a lining on the inside of the head.
