Shirt to Dress

My mum went through my dad's wardrobe to clear out all those neat shirts he never wore.  Today she came and dropped of two boxes of neatly folded shirts.  Here is one of them...never worn by dad...brand new!
And I transformed it into this:
And here a photo of the back of the dress
I wasnt sure about adding other fabric colours to it...so I kept it the one colour.  I can always add a frilly hem to the bottom when little Miss Muffet has grown a bit taller.  It took me less than two hours to make (with no interuptions!).  I used the tutorial from here to make this dress.

  1. super end product, Marleen!!
your story reminds me of oma Pot who passed on some clothes from opa to tante Ali who also liked sewing. one day when opa saw an end product he said to oma 'did you give my best winter coat to Ali' and indeed, oma did not realise it at the time....oops!!
