I have been having trouble finding some decent t-shirts without skullheads in our local stores, so I decided to purchase a plain shirt and try out some stencilling.
- First I found, enlarged and printed a Silhouette from the web.
- I purchased some contact paper (you know, that sticky stuff you use to cover books with), some fabric paint, and some cheap sponge rollers.
- I transferred the silhouette picture onto the contact paper
- I cut out the silhouette, keeping in mind that I would only use the outer, and not the inner cutout.
- I then stuck the contact paper on the t-shirt
- Using the sponge roller I rolled on the paint onto the cutout on the shirt. When the paint was dry, I carefully peeled off the contact paper...and voila....
- I ironed the stencil.
- I then added some bling, by some thread for the fishing wire, a button for the reel, and a tiny bead for the fish eye.
I have since found out that the white really doesn't suit my boy as it makes him look pale, thus it has been converted into a PJ shirt.
